Beyond the Employment Packet: Prepping for Gen Y in the Workplace

Posted on 06/21/10 in Blog, No Comments

Now that you’ve created a few Meetup groups and believe that you have interviewed a great pool of talent, there are still a few things you need to consider before handing over that offer letter. Gen Y has been coached by their parents on how to handle an offer and what priorities they should have in their first step in their career — but I think they’re diverging a bit from previous generations in what they really want in their employment packet.

This week, I want to tackle three things that Gen Y considers before saying yes to the job:

But, before we do, I want to hear from employers first. What is your biggest consideration when putting together an employment package for Gen Y? What do you consider most valuable? What do you want to learn about more before you add it into the employment offer? What do you wish you could exclude?

I look forward to hearing from you!
